You may choose to cancel your order any time before the item is fulfilled.
EU Right of Withdrawal: If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of delivery of the last item in your order, without giving any reason. This withdrawal period is extended over weekends and public holidays. To exercise this right, you must notify us of your decision before the 14-day period expires. After notifying us, you must return the item(s) within 14 days of your notice.
To start a return or cancellation request, please visit your customer account at https://account.thelightingguru.net. If you checked out using a phone number only (no email), please use the return link in your SMS order confirmation instead, as the customer accounts URL requires an email address.
For all other customers, you may choose to cancel your order any time before the item ships.
Returns will be accepted up to 90 days from original purchase date. All returns must be received by The Lighting Guru within 45 days from their original purchase date to receive a full refund. All refunds will be issued back to the original payment source. Returns received between 45 to 90 days from the original purchase date will be eligible to receive only store credit. If an order is placed using store credit and that order requires a refund, the store credit will be re-applied to your account. This policy shall apply to any product purchases or deposits.
Refund timing: Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of approval or rejection. Approved refunds will be processed within 14 days and applied to your original payment method.
Return shipping: We are not responsible for return postage unless the return is required due to our mistake, in which case we will send a pre-paid shipping label or credit your order for the return shipping. For EU customers exercising the right of withdrawal, return shipping costs are your responsibility unless we have agreed otherwise.
Outbound shipping: Please be advised that any free shipping promotions used on the original order will be forfeited if the order is returned and the original shipping costs (paid or unpaid) will also be deducted from the refundable amount. For EU customers exercising the right of withdrawal, we will refund the standard outbound shipping cost.
Restocking fee: A 15% restocking fee will be applied to all returns. Note for EU customers: this fee applies only where disclosed in advance and permitted under applicable law — please confirm with legal counsel.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it and in the original packaging.
Exemptions: Gift cards are non-returnable items.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and whether your refund has been approved or rejected.
